It was 37 years ago this week-end when I last judged the Club Championship Show, Res BCC that day went to a young Frances Bagshawe [now Jackson] showing Hawkhill Derby Daydream [foundation of the Mompessons] who was the only exhibitor at both shows, although a second generation of the Fowle family {Whitebrook] is now in the ring. Type then, as now, was varied, but there seemed to be less exaggerations then. Movement seemed to be more accurate, probably, because they were moved at a more sedate speed. There seems to be a tendency creeping in for too much neck and over angulation behind, which needs to be watched, as it spoils the balance. On the whole the entry was of quiite good quality. One rather peculiar thing was the absence of six exhibitors, who between them had entered 22 dogs, which rather messed up Limit dog. Colin Muirhead - Judge
