The Alan Emeney Foundation (TAEF)
for English Springer Spaniel Health and Research
Charity No 1115450
The Alan Emeney Foundation (TAEF) for English Springer Spaniel Health & Research was established in 2001 following the untimely and sad death of Alan Emeney, Secretary of The English Springer Spaniel Club. (The Parent Club of the Breed). TAEF appointed Trustees in April 2005 and made a Declaration of Trust, which was approved by the Charities Commission in 2006.
TAEF's Statement of Intent is:
  • To aim to promote and advance in every way possible the general improvement in the education on the health and welfare aspects of the English Springer Spaniel that can be directed towards owners and breeders and supporters of the Breed. The objective of this advancement is to lead to funding being directed, from monetary gifts made through the avenue of voluntary financial donations, to TAEF.

  • To use any funds accrued to assist the appropriate official and professional bodies concerned in the search for genetic links to canine disease. TAEF will hope to provide professional organizations and qualified clinicians who focus their expertise and resources into health and genetic research, with some of the necessary funding to reach their goals. This can ultimately only lead to the betterment of all aspects of health related issues in regard to the Breed.
