At the ESSC AGM, Dr Graham Rogers retired from office as the ESSC Chairman after 20+ years in post. Mrs Betty Robinson, the ESSC President, thanked Graham for his outstanding dedication to the Club and a presentation was made to him of a painting and various other gifts in appreciation of his service.

Sh Ch/Nord Ch Barecho Hold Your Horses at Peasblossom. 

‘Seamus' was bred by Helene & David Björkman (Barecho) in Sweden and has been campaigned here in the UK by Jacky and Dave Mitchell (Peasblossom).  Jacky and Seamus are pictured here, after winning BOB under Breed Judge Hans Lehtinen from Finland, with Southern Counties Vice President Joyce Baker and grandson James Barker, Group Judge Rainer Vuorinen from Finland, Secretary Angela Cavill, BIS Judge Zena Thorn Andrews and Chief Steward Bill Bunce.

Yvonne Billows retired from being the ESSC Secretary after too many years to mention!  At the ESSC Championship Show was presented with a rather large garden ornament of a 'Buddha'. The presentation by the club chairman Graham Rogers

Apparantly she had had her eye on this, so was delighted to receive this as a gift from the club for all the many years of hard work and dedication.

Yvonne is now a much appreciated member of the Committee with the baton handed over to Angela Mitchell.  We wish Angela well in her new role and also to Jackie Weyman the clubs new Treasurer.

Kennel Club Stud Book Bands - as from 1st January 2010

 English Springer Spaniels in 2009 were in 'Band D', from 1st January 2010 the breed has moved to 'Band C'

This now means that to gain a 'Stud Book Number' at Championship Shows the only placings that qualify are:

1st & 2nd in Open

1st in Limit

Unfortunately 3rd in Open no longer qualifies
